With more than 70 years of combined experience as Master Saddlers, Rob Cullen and John Hartley have made the name of Black Country Saddles synonymous with innovation and quality. Extensive knowledge and understanding of saddle manufacture allows them to produce a range that can be fitted to all types of horse, and the saddle makers work closely with the saddle fitters to ensure the best possible combination of fit for both horse and rider. At its factory benches in Walsall, Black Country Saddles uses quality British materials, from the initial stages of the wood laminated spring trees to 100% wool flocking, English leathers and skilled craftsmanship.

Sophie says "I really like riding in the Vinici saddles – they are great. I feel so close to the horses, and they allow my legs to hang much longer around them, which helps my nerve problems."

Samshield is the result of a mix between the young pro rider’s needs, the young designer’s creative energy and the engineer’s technical vision. The company surveyed hundreds of riders in its quest to find out what really mattered to them, and what they were looking for in the ultimate protective headwear. Samshield’s philosophy is to always propose advanced products in terms of active and passive comfort, hygiene, material and finish quality as well as customisation.

Sophie says "Safety is really important, but it's great to look good too. The look and design of my Samshield hat makes safety stylish and comfy! Wearing it at the 2012 Paralympics was great!"

Arena Mirrors are uniquely designed backed and framed galvanised steel, making them strong and built to last. Strategically placed mirrors in your arena are a valuable asset, helping you monitor your horse's movements and make your training sessions more effective, even when your instructor isn't there.  These mirrors mean you’ll be able to see what the judge sees so you can correct what you need to, when you need to. Your horse can feel the correction at the right time because you’re able to see it in real time. The use of mirrors will help you practise good habits such as proper angles in your half-passes and shoulder-ins, and proper seat and leg positions. The more time you spend riding correctly the easier it is to repeat in the competition arena.  You can improve your accuracy and get better results while saving money on training fees. This really is the way to help you and your horse realise your full potential.

Sophie says "Mirrors are the best training aid next to having eyes on the ground every time you ride. My full length mirrors mean I can't miss anything, which gives me a vital edge in training."

Teresa Dixon, Biomechanics Coach, is dedicated to “helping people help themselves” so they can achieve their full potential. She ensures clients’ muscles are working properly, and not pulling on joints, discs or even other muscles, which means being able to move freely with complete ease and pain free. This also decreases the risk of injury or further injuries, bringing the body back to normal. Teresa’s comprehensive biomechanics assessment checks how your body is working and addresses any biomechanical issues straight away, so that the correct treatment can be given, and an effective programme designed, whether it’s at the gym, or personal training or Pilates (core work).

Sophie says "Making sure I'm moving freely before strengthening training is vital, and improving my position has improved the horses’ way of going straight away. Biomechanics is an important part of my weekly routine."

These are produced using controlled machining processes and dust extraction resulting in what we consider one of the better bales on the market that also carries the prestigious FSC certification mark, ensuring our shavings are sourced from timber felled from well managed and sustained forests. Thoroughbred has consistently been one of the market leading brands for nearly 20 years in the UK and is produced by Severn Timber from pure softwood. It is being used by leading stables throughout the country. SCA, the parent company, have two baling plants, one in Welshpool and the second in Stoke-On-Trent providing the facility for our national distribution network.

Sophie says "Buildbase are supporting my top horses this year, providing them with Thoroughbred Shavings for their bedding, which is a great help."

Ellen Bates, General Manager of Weatherbeeta Ltd in the UK said of the sponsorship “We are thrilled to be announcing our association with Dressage rider Sophie Wells. Sophie is an outstanding young athlete and we look forward to working with Sophie as an ambassador for the WeatherBeeta brand”.

Sophie says "I love WeatherBeeta rugs, they fit brilliantly, look great and keep the horses warm and dry. My favourite is the diamond quilt combo, it keeps the horses really nice and cosy in the cold winter months, the neck is deep so it fits all the horses really well even with their big necks!"

Sophie says "It's really important to not have the horses standing on concrete in the stables. The equimat is great as they are durable, functional, comfortable for the horses, and look good. It saves time on mucking out and bedding which is a bonus!”

Equimat® and The Black Mat® have been designed specifically for equestrian use ensuring horses and ponies are kept comfortable, warm and safe, whilst reducing mucking out time and bedding costs. Using a unique mixture of EVA and rubber all of our mats are of the highest quality, non-porous, anti-slip, light weight and easy to fit. Available for stable floors and walls, walkways and trailers we have your equestrian matting needs covered.

FMBs Therapy Systems - Advanced equine physiotherapy equipment to enhance suppleness, fitness and rehabilitation. Activo-Med Pulsed Electromagnetic and Massage Rugs, Boots, Lasers and FEI approved Cold Therapy plus Dry and Water Treadmills, Spas, Solariums, Nebulisers and Washroom equipment. Rainwater Harvesting also available. FMBs says "Sophie has used the Activo-Med equipment on several occasions at World Class training and also the rugs and leg wraps provided by LOCOG (London Olympic Organising Group) in London last summer so was convinced of the benefits. We are really proud to finally be able to support her this year and are looking forward to watching her at competitions and hearing how the horses are feeling. All the very best of luck Sophie!"

Sophie says "Ive been looking into the Activo-Med Pulsed Electromagnetic and Massage Rug for some time and I'm thrilled to be able to use it on a daily basis on my horses. I've found such a great response from them after using the rug. Each horse has responded in a different way, whether it be my young horse being more relaxed when I get on, to my older advanced horse who feels more free through his body and joints when I start working him. I take it everywhere with me, and it's part of my essential pieces of kit."
